Annie Sinclair is a Caseworker in our Private Crime department, based in our Luton office. Annie primarily assists the Central and East offices to ensure client expectations are met. Her responsibilities include working closely with litigators to manage a case load of files, drafting letters to clients, courts and third parties, taking client instructions, preparing legal documents, and assisting with diary management.

Prior to joining Reeds, Annie studied at BPP University and holds an LLM in Law and Legal Practice and was awarded a Merit. She also holds a 2:1 degree in English Literature and American Studies from the University of Manchester.

Annie Sinclair has experience in problem solving for clients as a Pro Bono Welfare Rights Clinic Adviser, where she helped clients apply for welfare benefits and appeal to Tribunals. In addition, she has experience interviewing clients, drafting letters of advice, and proof-reading documents to ensure their accuracy. Annie was also a member of the Clyde & Co and Brent CAB Pro bono Employment team. In this role, she worked closely with solicitors, analysing employment contracts and note-taking for them whilst they interviewed clients on issues such as unfair dismissal.

Alongside her studies, Annie spent time volunteering as a group leader at the Girl’s Friendly Society to support and empower girls and young women. Annie also took part in a Reverse Mentoring Scheme with Brabners, where she gave her insight into the firm’s EDI initiatives by analysing their internal policies and recruitment systems.

She takes pride in embodying a culture and commitment towards equality, diversity, and inclusion.  Annie enjoys problem-solving and tackling obstacles for clients and with her excellent communication skills, she can build and maintain strong relationships with people.
