On Wednesday, 13 January Tom Brymer, Partner, Solicitor & Area Manager based in our Reading office, represented a young man for a 2-counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Despite the Crown Prosecution Service arguing that this was a matter that had a starting point of 12-months in custody, Tom was able to successfully argue that given the work he had done with various organisations to address his drug use, the age of the offence and Defendant, and that there was little or no financial advantage, that it could be dealt with by a financial penalty. Our client was therefore fined £78.
