Ruth Tily is a Solicitor based within the Magistrates’ Court Team at the Bristol Office. Before joining Reeds, Ruth Tily was employed by another leading Bristol Criminal Law firm for over 21 years.

Ruth has been qualified as a Duty Solicitor since 2007 and she has a wealth of experience in representing clients both at the police station and at the Magistrates’ Court where she provides assistance with applications for bail, advice on plea, trial advocacy and mitigation at sentence hearings. Ruth has assisted in the defence of clients investigated for the whole range of criminal offences including; driving offences, theft, fraud, public disorder and assaults, as well as serious sexual offences and murder allegations.

Ruth’s skills make her particularly adept at dealing with vulnerable clients and ensuring that the best possible outcome is achieved.
