Natalie Dodds is a Team Lead & Solicitor, in our Court of Protection & Mental Health Department, based in our Luton office. Natalie provides representation and assistance to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, Conditionally Discharged patients, or those subject to Community Treatment Orders. Natalie is able to provide advice to both patients and Nearest Relatives. Natalie regularly represents at Mental Health Tribunals, Hospital Managers Meetings and Care Programme Approach meetings. Natalie has experience dealing with high and medium secure hospitals, and all types of forensic sections.

Natalie will be developing our Manchester office in due course but will remain available to represent patients across the country.

Natalie has an excellent understanding of the Mental Health Act, the Code of Practice and the Tribunal Rules. Natalie has a vast amount of experience representing patients at Tribunals, and will her upmost to achieve a positive outcome.

Natalie also has some experience in bringing applications under Section 21A Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Natalie has been an Accredited Mental Health Representative since 2014. Natalie went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2016 and was the Head of Department in Mental Health & Public Children Law.

Natalie represented both those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and represent parents in Care Proceedings.

In 2018, Natalie went on to set up a new Mental Health Department and was the Head of Department for a further 5 years before joining Reeds in 2024.
