Areas of law:

Magistrates’ Court, Youth Court, Police Station, Motoring Solicitors

Mike Hall is a solicitor based within the Magistrates Court team of our Cardiff office.  All criminal cases begin in a Magistrates court, and Mike has conduct of these cases from the police station onwards to their conclusion.  His remit has seen him covering cases such as road traffic offences, through to murder, serious sexual offences, complex fraud cases and youth offending.  Mike has been a criminal lawyer for 25 years and has as much enthusiasm for criminal law now and representing defendants as he did when he started.

Often, the only friendly face a client will see at court and especially at police stations, will be the legal representative, and Mike sees his role as much more than representing our clients at point of charge and beyond; he is committed to ensuring that every person represented understands the legal process and has the best possible outcome under their circumstances.  Mike excels in engendering trust with his clients, helping them to deal with what can be very traumatic circumstances; representing skilfully in trials and assisting them through the maze of the legal and technical minefield that the law often presents.  Mike’s strength lies in communicating with clients and problem solving with them whilst dealing with them in what can often be for them a hostile environment.

Mike’s aim is to make sure that whatever the case is, the client understands all of what takes place whilst they are in the criminal justice system. No matter how seemingly trivial the case or how serious, each client will receive the same consideration, respect, and assistance from him when dealing with their case.

In accordance with the Solicitors’ Regulatory Transparency Rules for motoring offences we confirm that Mike Hall charges Level A hourly rates.
