Max Riley-Gould is a Trainee Solicitor in our Crime department, based in our Reading office. As a Trainee Solicitor, Max assists with the busy Magistrates Court team in the preparation of criminal cases before the Courts. This involves taking witness statements, reviewing prosecution evidence including CCTV footage and body worn footage, and considering the potential need to instruct experts, dependent on the nature of the case. Max also works to coordinate legal aid applications and ensure clients are kept up to date with the progress of their case.

Prior to joining Reeds, Max worked for 10 years in the charity sector, working for a number of human rights and international development charities. He primarily worked in fundraising and proposal writing roles, leading small teams to secure funding for projects from a range of government departments and foundations.

Max Riley-Gould is highly organised and proactive, able to handle and progress cases with the utmost care. He is also an excellent communicator and able to provide excellent levels of client care on all the cases he is working on.

Professional Qualifications

Max is currently studying for the Police Station Accreditation Scheme.
