Ellie Burgess is a Trainee Solicitor/Paralegal in our Court of Protection department, based in our Cardiff office and assisting in all aspects of case preparation. Ellie assists with s21A and s16 applications including case preparation, drafting papers, attending court and attending Advocate’s meetings.
Prior to joining Reeds, Ellie worked at a Criminal Defence firm based in Somerset. During her time here, Ellie undertook a number of tasks including taking instructions from clients, corresponding with the court and counsel, preparing statements and assisting with the administration and costing of files. Ellie also worked on a pro-bono immigration application against the deportation of a client. Ellie has also held volunteering positions at Support through Court at the Cardiff Family and Civil Justice Centre and the Innocence Project at Cardiff University.
With Ellie’s empathetic nature and passion for outstanding client care, Ellie handles all her cases and preparation with the utmost care and attention.
