Daisy Meekings is a Trainee Solicitor, working in our criminal law team, based in our Oxford Office. Daisy is currently working with the Magistrates Court team. Daisy assists the preparation of trials in the Magistrates Court, with tasks including taking instructions from client, preparing a client’s proof of evidence, analysing prosecution papers and reviewing CCTV footage and police interviews. Daisy can assist in a variety of matters including criminal damage, public order offences, offences against the person and other summary only/triable either way offences.

Prior to joining Reeds, Daisy worked as a Legal Secretary in the personal injury and family law department at a local Oxfordshire firm (Bower Bailey Solicitors), where she assisted one of the firms partners in the administration of cases and liaising with clients about the progress of their case. Daisy has also worked at leading barristers’ chambers in Bristol (Albion Chambers) as a billing and fees clerk. During her time here she worked with the barristers to bill legal aid funded criminal and family cases.

With Daisy’s compassionate and understanding nature, she strives for excellent client care and a great service for all the clients. Daisy is also a good communicator and will assist with any enquiries

Professional qualifications

Received a LLB Law degree from Swansea University (2.1), graduated in 2020.

Currently doing my police station accreditation and the SQE with a masters in legal practice (finishing in March 2024) at the University of Law.

R V Becksey – client found not guilty after trial at the Magistrates Court for theft from dwelling.

R V Roberts – client found not guilty after trial at the magistrate’s court for assaulting an emergency worker.
