Uxbridge offers the full range of criminal law, prison law, family law and education services.
Uxbridge is a suburban town in west London and the administrative headquarters of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Situated 15.4 miles (24.8 km) west-northwest of Charing Cross, it is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan.
The name of ‘Uxbridge’ derives from ‘Wixan’s Bridge’, a bridge which was situated near the bottom of Oxford Road where the modern bridge now stands. The Wixan were a 7th-century Saxon tribe from Lincolnshire, who settled in the area to clear the dense woodland and to farm.
The area is famous for a few major historical events. These include the negotiations between King Charles I and the Parliamentary Army during the English Civil War. The pub at the centre of the treaty still stands, though has since been renamed the Crown & Treaty. RAF Uxbridge also houses the Battle of Britain Bunker. It was here that air defence of the south-east of England was coordinated.
Uxbridge is a university town, housing Brunel University London as well as the Uxbridge campus of Buckinghamshire New University. Uxbridge serves as a significant retail and commercial centre.

She was always available and answered all my calls and emails. Her expertise and knowledge helped my son to be freed again within three days. I really cannot recommend Lucy highly enough. She is an outstanding barrister and I truly believe that without her help my son would still be languishing in HMP Bullingdon and not back at home where he rightly belonged. read less
