We are looking for Police Station Representatives to advise and attend clients at police stations and council offices in order to represent them during investigation interviews. The roles are available to join our busy and growing teams across the Thames Valley, The Midlands and the South Coast. Responsibilities and duties:

  • Accept all calls from the DSCC.
  • Ensure all clients receive an advice call within the requisite time frame.
  • Attend clients to provide advice and representation during interviews.
  • Complete PACE/Interview Attendance Form and forward to the Police Station Department administrators, ensuring all dates have been provided.
  • Chasing outcomes on files with an e-mail to the case directors.
  • Cover the 24hr phone during the day and when required at night and weekends.
  • Undertaking a range of continuing professional development (CPD) activities throughout their career.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Team Leader or a member of the Management Team.

Person Specification

  • Good communicator in both written and spoken English.
  • Must have Police Station Accreditation
  • Excellent client care skills and a commitment to legal aid

  • Have experience of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Driving licence and own transport is essential.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to learn and efficiently use practice and case management software.
  • Good understanding of client care requirements.
  • Must be proactive in seeking to manage and progress files and apply a consistent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with everchanging priorities.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to help, across all teams and departments, with a “can do” attitude.
