Areas of law:
Will is a Trainee Solicitor, currently based within the criminal law team in Oxford. Before joining Reeds, Will lived in New Zealand, where he worked for the Ministry of Education. In this role he worked in a litigation team that handled historic claims of abuse from those attending Residential State Schools, preparing cases for litigation and managing the disclosure process for those cases that were heading towards trial at the New Zealand High Court. In addition, Will has worked in Construction and Property Law, as well as taken on pro-bono and volunteering work whilst at University.
During his time in the family law team during 2018-19 here at Reeds, Will has gained experience in attending court for hearings on care proceedings and divorce matters. He has attended PLO’s, and has assisted clients in dealing with Legal Aid applications and Legal Help funding for divorce applications. Will has also had the opportunity of drafting the necessary documents in divorce cases, including petitions and supplementary forms such as Form E.
Will has now moved on to the Criminal Law team as part of his training where he will be dealing with Legal Aid applications and will support solicitors in managing cases that are being prepared for trial.
Will is exceptionally organised and ensures that no stone is left unturned in any case that he is involved in. He is passionate about achieving the best possible results for clients, and truly puts every available effort into achieving the desired result for a client. Will is known as a natural communicator and clients of all ages and backgrounds find him approachable and someone who us able to put them at ease, whatever the nature of their legal problem.
