Wayne is an Associate Member of CILEX working to complete his Fellowship examinations. He returned to criminal defence in early 2021 having had an extended break from his career to devote more time to raising his children. Before that, Wayne was a criminal law paralegal in North Kent with ten years’ experience assisting advocates prepare both Magistrates and Crown Court cases, while also serving the needs of clients detained by the police for questioning in Kent Police, and MET Police investigations.
As a Crown Court caseworker, Wayne is very passionate about providing a thorough and proactive service, and believes that his strengths lay in reading the prosecution case, identifying key issues, legal research, and conveying legal and procedural concepts in an easy-to-understand way. Wayne is a friendly, approachable point of contact for clients and always strives to put them at ease.
