Susie is the manager of our busy Swindon office, and is also part of the Magistrates Court and Family law teams there, and at our Melksham office. Susie has extensive experience in the field of criminal law, having worked within that field in and around the Swindon area since 1995, ultimately joining Reeds in 2014.
She has prepared both Magistrates Court cases and serious Crown Court cases and has supervised large teams of solicitors, trainees and paralegals. In addition to her experience in law, Susie has an in-depth knowledge of practice and office management, and for a number of years dealt with areas such as HR and personnel management including recruitment, training and appraisals; administration and finance; overseeing contract compliance for the Legal Aid Agency and individual SRA compliance and preparing for audits; monitoring facilities management(including office improvements/equipment, legal resources and IT updates; and ensuring general health and safety.
Susie now manages the day-to-day needs of both offices in terms of personnel, facilities, performance and health and safety, under the supervision of our Practice Manager. She assists our Team Leaders in the supervision of their teams, and directly supervises our administrative and support staff across two offices. Susie also works closely with our HR Advisor, implementing policies and procedures, and is the first point of contact for all and any such queries from the Wiltshire teams.
