Julia is a solicitor, currently based within the family team at our Swindon office.
Julia gained her law degree at Liverpool John Moores University before completing her professional training at BPP, where she achieved a commendation in her Legal Practice Course.
Since then, Julia undertook her training contract with Reeds, gaining experience in criminal defence, prison law and subsequently family proceedings. Whilst undertaking her training, Julia also became an accredited police station representative.
Julia now accepts instructions and represents parents in pre-proceedings and care proceedings, assisting them in what is a very difficult and stressful time for clients. Julia’s case load varies, including working with parents who face allegations of neglect, physical and emotional harm to more serious and complex matters including the Deprivation of a Child’s liberty and the Dispensing of Service of an application.
Julia also assists in providing parents with advice and representation in private matters in relation to contact and residency. Furthermore, Julia provides advice and assistance to clients commencing or who are involved in divorce proceedings.
Julia is very approachable and excels at putting clients at ease when she meets with them. She is extremely organised, which is invaluable in aiding the team to ensure that our high standards are maintained in the preparation of every case in which we deal with.
