Amy joined Reeds in 2016 from Blaser Mills LLP, as a solicitor in the Magistrates Court Team and the Team Leader for our Princes Risborough and High Wycombe Offices. Amy specialises in all aspects of criminal defence work in the Magistrates Court and Youth Court, and as an accredited duty solicitor, is additionally able to provide her clients with 24 hour Police station advice.
Client’s consistently return to Amy because of her expertise and commitment to their case and she now primarily accepts instructions from our private clients. Her reliability and proficiency has lead her to deal with some of the most complex cases including those charged with murder, slavery, GBH, possession of drugs with intent to supply, and serious sexual offences.
Amy’s calm approach to her criminal defence work sees her assistance requested frequently in the Youth Court. She excels in putting young clients at ease, explaining the law to them in a way they understand, and presenting their case in court with exceptional skill.
Amy also represents those accused of road traffic offences and has an unblemished record in arguing special reasons and exceptional hardship on behalf of clients, ensuring the retention of their driving licence when facing potential disqualification.
Amy also leads our Actions Against the Police Team, where she deals with cases in a sensitive but robust manner, and has achieved notable success in obtaining substantial compensation payments for clients.
