Alun is a solicitor in the Magistrates Court team, based at our Basingstoke Office.  He is a highly experienced lawyer, with over 15 years’ experience as a criminal advocate and duty solicitor. In the course of his practice he has represented clients in a variety of situations and at a number of different tribunals, including the Police station, Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Prison Adjudications, Military Tribunals, and hearings before the Traffic Commissioner.

His knowledge of all aspects of criminal defence work is vast, and he has dealt with cases from multiple murders through to theft. He is easily able to get right to the heart of each of his cases quickly, and as such, is often called upon to represent clients in some of our most complex and sensitive cases involving allegations such as people trafficking.  Although such cases are still relatively rare, such is his skill, Alun has dealt with a number of terrorism cases and appeared before the Chief Magistrate in respect of applications for warrants of further detention.

Alun is particularly renowned for his abilities in trial advocacy, where his robust defence has seen numerous successes for his clients.  No matter what the client or the nature of the charge they face, Alun is committed to approaching all his cases in a client-focused way.  His naturally personable manner means he has built and maintained a strong following of youth clients, who value the inevitable reassurance that his skill and knowledge brings, and his unwavering commitment to protecting their interests in Court.
