Joanna Benn is a Solicitor and Team Leader in the Complex Crime team at our Basingstoke office. Joanna trained with the firm and now represents clients charged with a variety of offences including murder, attempted murder and terrorism to theft and assault in the Magistrates Court. She approaches each and every one of her cases with pragmatism, and ensures that her clients are placed squarely at the centre of their case.
However, she is increasingly developing a niche in representing young clients and those who are otherwise vulnerable, where her sensitive approach and commitment to ensuring they always understand the proceedings and the law, and that they are dealt with fairly, is welcomed. Joanna takes pride in ensuring that wherever possible, she is available to provide her clients with a truly seamless service, frequently representing them from her initial contact with them at the Police station, right though to their trial at the Magistrates Court.
Joanna has represented clients accused of some of the most serious matters including murder, sexual offences, perverting the course of justice and various conspiracies. She also has experience of dealing with clients arrested and detained under the Terrorism Act.
